In short:

  • A RIB from Trondheim gives speed from the first minute.
  • Dinner in a boathouse with long tables and beer.
  • A mountain hike or ski tour the next day.

A good lads' trip needs three things: something to do, good food and enough time to talk. Trøndelag delivers on all three.

Day 1: Trondheim and the fjord

Meet up in Trondheim. Take a stroll around the city, and get picked up by RIB at 16:00. The trip across the Trondheimsfjord is fast, and we are happy to stop at Steinvikholm for a story or two.

Evening in the boathouse

In the boathouse on Frosta, long tables, candlelight and food from Mor og Far are waiting. Add beer or wine, a troubadour or a local storyteller. Beyond the Fjord with RIB from Trondheim costs from NOK 2,700 per person.

Day 2: Up high

Summer and autumn: a mountain hike over three peaks or Tronnobergskammen with a campfire. Winter and spring: guided ski touring. For the really tough: three days with a pulk.

Tips

  • Book early for Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Bring warm clothes, even in summer. See what to wear on a RIB.
  • Taste the well-known Arntzen bun from the Arntzen bakery at Frostavegen 1752 on Frosta before the hike.

Gather the lads for a RIB and boathouse evening.
