Guided snowshoe hike
A peaceful winter walk on snowshoes through the forest and up onto snow-covered mountains. No experience needed. We bring snowshoes, poles and hot drinks, and adapt the pace to you.
Silence, snow and views
With snowshoes on your feet you can get out into deep snow where walking would otherwise be hard. The tour is a calm walk, not a workout. There is time to stop, listen and look, and for a proper break with a hot drink in the middle of the winter landscape.
We meet and get ready
The guide shows you how to put the snowshoes on and how to walk in them. It takes five minutes, and then you are off.
Through the forest and up the mountain
We follow quiet trails through the forest and climb towards open mountain terrain with views. The route is adapted to the snow, the weather and how you feel on the day.
A break with a hot drink
Halfway through we stop for a hot drink and a snack, often with a campfire when conditions allow.
Two places with good snow
Skardsfjellet by Lake Innsvannet at Sandvika in Verdal, near the Swedish border. The tour is a great fit for guests at Ådalsvollen Retreat.
The hills of Frosta, over Storheia and Litjheia, when there is enough snow. A short trip from Trondheim, with views over the Trondheimsfjord.
We choose the location based on snow conditions and agree on a meeting point when you book.
