Expedition training in Trøndelag
Three days in the mountains between Levanger and Meråker with an Arctic nature guide. Choose winter with a pulk sled and winter tent, or summer with a backpack and tent.
Do you dream of crossing Svalbard or Greenland, doing a longer mountain trip on your own, or simply want to feel more confident on multi-day trips? On expedition training you learn planning, navigation, camp life and safety by doing it yourself, guided by an experienced Arctic nature guide. This is not a traditional guided tour where the guide makes every decision: participants take responsibility for navigation, setting up camp, cooking and the daily routines.

Ski expedition training: three days of pulk hauling, winter camping and expedition life
We travel through the winter mountains between Levanger and Meråker, camp in the snow and learn to handle cold, changing weather and the challenges of longer ski expeditions. You practise the same routines used on Arctic expeditions. The route is adapted to snow conditions, weather and the group's skills, with realistic daily stages and time for practice. Dates are published continuously, and private groups can arrange their own dates.

Who is expedition training for?
The trips suit anyone planning a longer trip on Svalbard, in Greenland or in other remote areas, and experienced day hikers who want to take the step to multi-day trips with a tent and their own navigation. You do not need a specific expedition goal. We recommend using your own gear so you can test it in realistic conditions, and the guide will advise on improvements along the way. A detailed gear list is sent after you sign up.
